”I have much pleasure in sending you the autograph you ask. I was in Christiania last August, and I am very fond of everything to do with Norse countries & peoples –
I have written a Saga which will be published next year [the Viking novel Eric Brighteyes], which I will hope interest you more than any other book of mine. Sincerely yours H. Rider Haggard.”
